TERMS OF SERVICE
For Organisational Representatives

These Terms of Service govern the organisational access to the Devout Hospitality Safety Microlearning Course ("the Course") provided through our learning platform. They are addressed to the executive or senior representative ("Authorised Representative") acting on behalf of a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality group ("the Organisation") that has registered to receive access. By completing registration, the Authorised Representative acknowledges that they have the authority to bind the Organisation to these Terms.1
. DefinitionsFor the purposes of these Terms:• "Authorised Representative" refers to the senior individual (General Manager, Operations Director, HR Manager, Head of Department, Owner, or equivalent) who registers on behalf of the Organisation.
• "The Organisation" refers to the hotel, restaurant, or hospitality group on whose behalf registration is completed.
• "Team Members" refers to the employees or staff of the Organisation who are granted access to the Course via the team sign-up link provided to the Authorised Representative.
• "The Platform" refers to the online learning environment through which the Course is hosted and delivered.
•"Access Period" refers to the three (3) month period during which the Organisation and its Team Members may access the Course.
• "Downloadable Materials" refers to any supplementary resources made available for download within the Course.

Acceptance of Terms By registering on behalf of the Organisation, the Authorised Representative confirms that they:•Have the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of the Organisation.
•Have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms on behalf of the Organisation.
•Accept responsibility for ensuring that Team Members who are granted access use the Course in accordance with these Terms.
If the Authorised Representative does not have authority to bind the Organisation, or does not agree to these Terms, registration must not be completed.
3. Course Access3.1 Complimentary AccessAccess to the Course is provided on a complimentary basis, at no charge to the Organisation. This complimentary access is granted at the sole discretion of Devout Hospitality and does not constitute a contractual entitlement to continued or future access.
3.2 Access PeriodThe Organisation is granted access to the Course for a period of three (3) months from the date of registration by the Authorised Representative. Access will expire automatically at the end of this period without further notice. Devout Hospitality is under no obligation to extend the Access Period.
3.3 Team AccessUpon registration, the Authorised Representative will receive a dedicated team sign-up link. It is the responsibility of the Authorised Representative to distribute this link to Team Members within their Organisation. Each Team Member must register individually using a valid email address and a personal password to access the Course.
3.4 Device and Connectivity RequirementsThe Course is accessible on any internet-enabled device, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Access to the Course requires a stable internet connection at all times during use. Devout Hospitality accepts no responsibility for any limitations in access arising from the Organisation's internet infrastructure, device compatibility, or connectivity issues.
3.5 LanguageThe Course is provided exclusively in the English language. No translations or multilingual versions are available as part of this offering. The Organisation is responsible for ensuring that Team Members have sufficient English language proficiency to engage with the Course content effectively.
3.6 Downloadable MaterialsThe Course includes supplementary materials available for download ("Downloadable Materials"), such as reference guides, checklists, and supporting documents. These materials may be retained and utilised by the Organisation and its Team Members beyond the expiry of the Access Period. Downloadable Materials are subject to the intellectual property provisions set out in Section 7 of these Terms and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Devout Hospitality.
3.7 Modification or DiscontinuationDevout Hospitality reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Course or Platform at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to the Organisation or any Team Member for any such action.
4. Nature and Scope of Course Content4.1 Educational PurposeThe Course provides general safety awareness content and practical guidelines intended to support hospitality teams in understanding and responding to common safety scenarios. Topics covered include fire safety, security incidents, bomb threats, natural disasters, and military or conflict-related threats.
4.2 No Legal or Regulatory ComplianceThe Course content is general and educational in nature. It does not constitute compliance with any local, national, or international law, regulation, industry standard, or official safety requirement. In particular:
•The content has not been reviewed, endorsed, or approved by any regulatory, governmental, or accreditation body.
•Completion of the Course by Team Members does not satisfy any mandatory safety training obligation imposed by applicable law or regulation in any jurisdiction.
•The Course must not be relied upon as a substitute for legally required safety training, official emergency response protocols, or certified professional instruction.
It remains the sole responsibility of the Organisation to ensure full compliance with all applicable workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and staff training regulations in its operating jurisdiction.
4.3 No Jurisdiction-Specific GuidanceThe Course content does not account for the specific legislative frameworks, emergency services procedures, or local conditions of any particular country, region, or municipality. Organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions should seek appropriate local professional guidance to supplement this Course.
5. Completion Tracking and ReportingThe Course does not include progress tracking, completion reporting, or assessment functionality as part of the complimentary access to the Platform. Specifically:
•No completion certificates are issued to Team Members.
•No individual progress or engagement data is recorded or accessible to the Organisation.
•No management reports or compliance documentation are generated through the Platform.
•Participation in the Course cannot be formally verified or evidenced for regulatory, audit, or insurance purposes.
Tracking and reporting features are not available under the current complimentary access tier.
6. Organisational ResponsibilitiesThe Organisation, through its Authorised Representative, accepts the following responsibilities:
- To distribute the team sign-up link only to individuals who are current employees or authorised personnel of the Organisation.
•To ensure Team Members use the Course in accordance with these Terms.
•To ensure Team Members have the necessary device access, internet connectivity, and English language proficiency required to participate.
•To supplement the Course with any additional safety training required by applicable law or regulation.
•To notify Devout Hospitality promptly in the event of any suspected unauthorised use or breach of these Terms.
7. Intellectual PropertyAll Course content, including video lessons, written materials, frameworks, scenarios, and structural design, is the intellectual property of Devout Hospitality and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property law.
The Organisation is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Course content and Downloadable Materials for internal staff training purposes only, during and (in the case of Downloadable Materials) beyond the Access Period. The Organisation may not:
• Reproduce, copy, or publicly distribute Course content in any form without prior written consent.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on Course content.
• Use Course content or Downloadable Materials for commercial purposes, client-facing delivery, or external training programmes.
8. Disclaimer of WarrantiesThe Course and Platform are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Devout Hospitality makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
•Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
•Any warranty that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from technical issues.
•Any warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the content for any specific operational context or incident type.
9. Limitation of LiabilityTo the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Devout Hospitality shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the Organisation's or any Team Member's use of, or inability to use, the Course or Platform, including but not limited to:
•Any incident, injury, loss, or harm occurring in a real emergency situation, irrespective of whether Course content was applied.
•Any failure by the Organisation to meet its legal or regulatory obligations in relation to staff safety training.
•Any business interruption, reputational damage, or loss arising from reliance on Course content.
The Course is an educational resource. It is not a substitute for professional emergency response planning, accredited safety training, or compliance with statutory obligations.
10. Suspension and TerminationDevout Hospitality reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Organisation's access to the Course, with or without notice, in the event of a breach of these Terms or for any other reason at its sole discretion.
Upon expiry of the Access Period or termination of access, all rights to use the Platform and Course content cease immediately, with the exception of Downloadable Materials retained prior to expiry, which remain subject to the terms of Section 7.
11. Amendments to These TermsDevout Hospitality reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time. Where amendments are material, reasonable efforts will be made to notify the Authorised Representative. Continued use of the Course following notification of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those revisions on behalf of the Organisation.
12. Governing Law and JurisdictionThese Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Devout Hospitality is registered. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
